After the success of Chess Tuesday, played in 2020, 2021, and 2023, the tournament is back with a fresh look, moving to Monday while keeping the same exciting format.
Chess Monday is a tournament designed to engage and entertain all members of my community. Every Monday at 9:00 PM (CET), a new stage will be played on Chess.com, streamed live on Twitch.
Rules
Ranking System
Each month, the points earned in each stage will be accumulated to form the monthly ranking, which will determine the top three winners.
At the end of the year, the 12 monthly winners will qualify for the Grand Final, where they will compete in head-to-head matches for various prizes, to be revealed throughout the year.
Tournament Structure
- 📅 Day: Monday, 9:00 PM (CET)
- ⏳ Time Control: 3’+2″
- ♟️ Format: Arena
- ⏱ Duration: 90 minutes
The tournament link will be available both on the main club page on Chess.com and in this article.
To participate, players must join at least one hour before (from 8:00 PM).
Additional Rules
- Any player found cheating will be immediately disqualified, losing all accumulated points
- If a player wins multiple monthly rankings, they will still receive their membership prizes, but their Grand Final spot will go to the second place finisher
- If a finalist cannot participate in the Grand Final, their spot will be given to the next highest ranked player from that month
- If no spots are available in a particular month (due to all top players already qualifying), the most active player of the year will secure a Grand Final spot
